The conference brought together 825 people offline and online, including 82 foreign specialists from 30 countries of the world.

Head of the Department of Psychology of the ߺ, PhD, Professor Asya Berberyan spoke at the plenary session of the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Commitment to Mental Health Issues." The event was organized jointly with RAU on the basis of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia on October 24-26.

The conference “Commitment to Mental Health Issues” has become a traditional interactive platform where scientists and practitioners share their methods and technologies in the field of diagnosis, correction and maintenance of mental health in society. This year, there were 825 offline and online participants, including 82 foreign experts from 30 countries of the world.

At the plenary session professor Berberyan presented a report on "Mental health and subjective well-being as factors of socio-cultural adaptation of personality" and moderated 2 breakout sessions.

The format of the event was dynamic and intensive, allowing the participants to get a bulk of  knowledge about the problems and prospects of maintaining mental health in modern society. Besides the traditional forms of a classical scientific conference (plenary session, sections and round table), innovative forms of conference work were presented, oriented as much as possible towards the modern practical needs of the educational process for future specialists.

According to the professor, nowadays health acquires a special significance not only in the correlation of health - disease axis or as a preservation of the possibility of its effectiveness, but also as a personal component, which is considered necessary and provides a personal representation of a person in the society.

The realization of this conference as a joint project to develop the scientific potential of researchers also contributes to the preservation of a common scientific and cultural space between  RAU and  RUDN, and the formation and development of scientific and educational ties between our friendly countries.

Following the successful speech at the plenary session, A. Berberyan received gratitude from chairman E. Bashkin and co-chairman of the Organizing Committee V. Barabash.
