RAU and the Union of Non-Olympic Sports of Armenia signed a memorandum of cooperation

RAU Rector Edward Sandoyan and Head of the Department of Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle Armen Grigoryan noted the importance of bilateral cooperation for the development of sports education and the training of highly qualified specialists.

The ߺ and the Union of Non-Olympic Sports of Armenia signed a memorandum of cooperation on March 5. The document was signed by Head of the Department of Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle of RAU, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Armen Grigoryan and President of the Union Garnik Hayrapetyan.

RAU Rector Edward Sandoyan and Head of the Department of Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle Armen Grigoryan expressed their willingness for cooperation, emphasizing the importance of bilateral cooperation for the development of sports education and the training of highly qualified specialists.

They noted that the university is ready to provide all the necessary resources, including modern educational programs, methodological support and access to the best academic facilities for  the professional development of future coaches and athletes.

"It is important that our athletes not only achieve high results and become international champions, but also have profound knowledge in their field. An athlete should be not only a sportsperson , but also a competent specialist who understands the principles of preparation, recovery, nutrition, psychology and pedagogy. Sport is not only physical training, but also the ability to work with people, educate the younger generation and pass on your experience. Our champions should become mentors who can help develop sports systematically," assured Garnik Hayrapetyan.

The parties are confident that cooperation will help integrate scientific approaches into the field of sports, expand opportunities for research in physical education, and create conditions for the effective training of specialists who combine both practical and theoretical experience.
