Issues of Improving Coaching Skills in the Context of Sports Development Discussed at RAU
The conference was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle of RAU together with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia.
The role of the state in sports development is undoubtedly significant and undeniable, yet it is impossible to build a sports system solely at the expense of state funding. This statement was made today by Karen Giloyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, at the grand opening of the conference at the ߺ.
According to him, it is necessary to develop sports science, and to establish clubs that will gradually become dominant in national championships and will have their representatives on the international stage.

The Deputy Minister also emphasized the importance of the sports infrastructure established at RAU, expressing hope that the students of the university will be able to achieve leading positions in various sports competitions.
In his turn, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle of RAU Armen Grigoryan noted that the conference aims to bring together renowned experts to discuss issues of improving coaching skills in the context of sports development, ways to prepare for international championships and Olympics, challenges in fostering children’s and youth sports, and many other relevant topics.
"We know that 50-60% of a sports result is because of the right technique, science, and sports medicine, without which success is impossible. That’s why together with Karen Giloyan, we have decided that we should have the opportunity to regularly introduce our coaches to sports science," he assured.
Armen Grigoryan has added that the ߺ is ready to provide psychological support to athletes of the national teams, which is a keyaspect of their training.

It should be noted that the conference was organized by the Department of Physical Education and Healthy Lifestyle of RAU jointly with the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia.
